Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron will star in a romantic comedy titled “A Family Affair” set for release on Netflix. However, the producers have disclosed that the title was once something different.

The 57-year-old actress revealed with her co-star that “originally, it had a different title,” which prompted her to add her own thoughts to the conversation during an interview with PEOPLE. The actress replied, “Beeped out,” when told, “It was called Moth——.” She then added, “Somehow, that didn’t make it onto the Netflix title.”

Among the several proposals that they got, the performers claim that the title was the one that drew their attention. “In the end, that kept the script at the top of the pile,” he concluded. “It really made us wonder, what on Earth could this be about?”

Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron previously collaborated in the 2012 drama The Paperboy. Zac commented, “I jumped.” It seems like we both did it in a way. “It was like, this is perfect,” she said, “and we jumped at the chance.” What could be a more effective approach to reconnect? Also, we get to enjoy ourselves.

While this was going on, Nicole revealed that the most recent movie was a departure from the standard in the realm of romantic comedies, stating that “there isn’t enough” of films that challenge the norm. “There’s a shortage,” she elaborated, “We’ve seen it for ages with older men and younger women—it’s been the norm, completely accepted.”

She continued, “The problem is that we haven’t heard the equivalent perspectives from all different points of view, with women telling their stories.” She emphasized, “We need more game-changers.”

“[Zac] came in and makes the film because he was like, ‘I’m here to have fun, to play, and to very much be a part of this and be there for you’ — for both Joey and I.”
