Sally Hawkins career started as a theatre performer. Hawkins career began in theater, where she performed in such films as Accidental Demise of An Anarchist (1996), The Cherry Orchard (1999), and Much Ado About Nothing (1999). She then moved to film and television in the 1990s and made her debut in All or Nothing(2002). Hawkins broke through in the highly acclaimed 2008 comedy-drama Happy-Go-Lucky. This role won her a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress, Comedy or Music.

Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine (2013,) and The Shape of Water (2017), among others, have made her one of the most talented actors in cinema today. Hawkins earned nominations from the BAFTA and Golden Globe for Hawkins’ last two films. The critical acclaim was almost universal. Cassandra’s Dream (2008), Submarine (2010), and Paddington 2 (2017) are some of the other noteworthy acting roles. Sally Hawkins was also involved with the 2019 remake of the 2014 blockbuster Godzilla. Eternal Beauty is her release in 2020.
